Equine Remedial Massage Kempsey - Helping Your Horse Move, Perform and Feel Their Best
Remedial massage is a hands-on therapy designed to improve muscle function, reduce tension, increase circulation, and support your horse's overall comfort and performance. Whether your horse is an elite competition athlete, a pleasure horse, or enjoying retirement, remedial massage can play an important role in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
Each treatment is tailored to your horse's individual needs, helping to identify areas of tightness, soreness, muscle imbalance, or restricted movement that may be affecting their performance or comfort.
Remedial Massage May Help With:
• Muscle tension and soreness
• Back, neck and pelvic discomfort
• Reduced flexibility and range of motion
• Poor performance or behavioural changes
• Recovery after work, competition or injury
• Compensation from lameness or previous injuries
• Improving circulation and relaxation
• Supporting overall muscle health and wellbeing
The Perfect Partner to Acupuncture
Remedial massage works exceptionally well alongside acupuncture.
Many horses have sensitive muscles or tight areas that can make acupuncture more uncomfortable. Massage helps soften and relax these muscles before needles are placed, allowing the treatment to be more comfortable and often more effective.
For horses that are nervous or needle shy, beginning with remedial massage helps build trust, reduce anxiety, and encourage relaxation before introducing acupuncture. In many cases, horses become so relaxed during massage that they readily accept acupuncture as part of the same treatment.
Some horses may also benefit from remedial massage as a standalone therapy when acupuncture isn't suitable or isn't required.
A Calm, Individual Approach
Every horse is different, which is why no two treatments are the same. My goal is to work with your horse at their own pace, ensuring each session is calm, positive, and tailored to their individual needs.
By combining experience with careful assessment, remedial massage can help your horse move more freely, recover more comfortably, and perform at their very best.
